Boston Celtics Still Undefeated

The Boston Celtics continued their perfect reign last night, by beating the Miami Heat 92-91.The Celtics have not lost a game with their new stars Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen on their roster.
Nonetheless last night was a bit of a nail-biter because Boston actually blew a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter but won it on a Paul Pierce lay-up with 25 seconds left on the clock.

Phil Jackson Sorry For ‘Brokeback’ Comment

Los Angeles Lakers Phil Jackson has apologized for the comments he made earlier this week that got him in trouble with both the National Basketball Association officials and the gay rights groups.

After his team 92-107 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, Jackson said:

“We call this a Brokeback Mountain game because there was so much penetration and kickouts. So, you know, it was one of those games.”

On Wednesday night, the controversial basketball coach kind of said he was wrong :

“In retrospect, it wasn’t really funny. When you take it out of context, it wasn’t funny. It was a poor attempt at humor, and I deserved to be reprimanded by the NBA. If I’ve offended any horses, Texans, cowboys or gays, I apologize.”

NBA fines Michael Jordan over comments

The NBA fined Charlotte Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan $15,000 for discussing Texas freshman Kevin Durant during an interview last week.

Team coaches and executives are barred from talking about underclassmen who have yet to declare for the NBA draft. But in an interview with The Charlotte Observer last Tuesday, Jordan said he was interested in versatile players and added, “The kid who may present that is the kid in Texas.
